About the Collection
This site contains digitized and OCRed copies from three popular pamphlet novel series printed in the early 20th century in Spain. All of the pamphlet novels are in the public domain, so you are welcome to download, share, and teach with the items displayed here. In addition, this site contains contextual material on the readers and the publishers of these types of ephemeral reading material, as well as information about the three different series: La Novela Corta, La Novela Cómica, and La Novela Teatral. Included at the end of the exhibit for each of the three series are a links to other digitized issues. Between the three series, there are about 170 issues listed in addition to the nine included here!

This site is generated using CollectionBuilder-GH, a project to create a free and simple digital collection using GitHub Pages from:
- a CSV of collection metadata
- a folder of JPG images or PDF documents

This digital collection is built with CollectionBuilder, an open source framework for creating digital collection and exhibit websites that is developed by faculty librarians at the University of Idaho Library following the Lib-Static methodology.
